How to Buy Gold and Silver on Binance: Spot vs Futures

PAXG/USDT in ordinary Spot buys a gold-backed token. XAUUSDT and XAGUSDT are USDT-settled gold and silver perpetual contracts. Choose the product before placing an order.

Paxos issues PAXG. Each token is backed by one fine troy ounce of gold held in London vaults. See the issuer’s product page.

The perpetuals do not deliver gold or silver bars. Binance’s product explanation.

Buy PAXG in three steps

  1. Open Trade → Spot and select PAXG/USDT.
  2. Choose Market or Limit, enter your purchase amount or quantity, and review the price and estimated tokens.
  3. Check the fee and minimum order, then submit. After execution, check your PAXG balance and order history.

An unlevered Spot purchase has no perpetual funding or margin-liquidation mechanism. Gold-price, issuer and platform risks remain.

Availability depends on your region and account. Paxos currently states that PAXG is unavailable in the EU.

Find gold and silver perpetuals

Open Futures → symbol list → TradFi, then select XAUUSDT for gold or XAGUSDT for silver. Both trade around the clock. Official navigation guide.

Check margin mode, leverage, funding and liquidation price. Opening and closing incur trading fees; funding is separate. See Futures basics or the futures market monitor.
