USDT Sent to Wrong Network on Binance: TRC20, ERC20, BEP20 Recovery Checklist
If USDT was sent to Binance through the wrong network, preserve TxID, confirm chain status, check whether Binance supports asset recovery, and avoid sending another test transfer blindly.

USDT sent to wrong network on Binance
USDT wrong-network transfers happen when the deposit chain and withdrawal chain do not match. TRC20, ERC20, BEP20, Arbitrum, Optimism, and Polygon can all show USDT, but they are not interchangeable.
First steps
Prepare four data points:
- TxID / transaction hash
- Withdrawal platform
- Actual network used
- Binance deposit address and coin
If the transaction is not successful on-chain, contact the withdrawal platform first. If it is successful on-chain but not credited by Binance, use Binance asset recovery.
Network mistake table
| Mistake | Address pattern | Recovery difficulty |
|---|---|---|
| TRC20 mistake | T-address | Depends on Binance support |
| ERC20/BEP20 mix-up | 0x address | Same-address cases may be recoverable |
| Wrong address | Not your Binance deposit address | Very hard |
| Unsupported network | Network not listed on deposit page | Requires official recovery flow |
Do not do this
Do not send a second transfer, do not share seed phrases or private keys, do not pay “recovery engineers”, and do not rely on screenshots without TxID.
Prevention checklist
Pick USDT on Binance deposit page, choose the exact network, copy that network address, select the same network on withdrawal platform, send a small test amount first, then send size.
